Breakaway Music Festival returns to Grand Rapids on Friday, August 14, and Saturday, August 15, 2026, bringing two days of electronic music, major touring artists, food, activations, and festival experiences to Belknap Park.

The festival runs from 4:00 to 11:00 p.m. both days and is open to guests 18 and older. The 2026 Michigan lineup includes FISHER, Big Gigantic, NGHTMRE, Subtronics, Two Friends, It’s Murph, Wuki, KREAM, Dr. Fresch, and more.

Where to Park

Advance-purchase parking is already sold out. Additional parking is expected in surrounding lots on the day of the festival.

Because Belknap Park is close to downtown Grand Rapids, attendees may also want to park farther away and walk or use rideshare.

The official rideshare area is listed near Coldbrook Street NW and Ionia Avenue NW.

What Can You Bring?

Permitted items include:

• Bags 14 x 6 x 14 inches or smaller
• Point-and-shoot cameras
• Empty hydration packs with no more than two pockets
• One empty transparent reusable water bottle up to one liter
• Non-aerosol sunscreen and bug spray
• Blankets or yoga mats
• Ponchos
• Earplugs

Chairs, umbrellas, outside food and drinks, professional cameras, selfie sticks, drones, weapons, and large bags are not allowed.

No Same-Day Re-Entry

Once you enter the festival, you cannot leave and re-enter the same day.

Plan ahead and bring everything you expect to need for the evening before entering.

Food and Drinks

Food vendors and bars will be available throughout the festival, including alcoholic beverages for guests 21 and older. Breakaway is primarily cashless.

The festival also features sponsor activations and experiences such as a silent disco and branded refreshment areas.

Where to Eat Before Breakaway

Because the festival begins at 4:00 p.m. and does not allow re-entry, it is a good idea to eat before entering.

Downtown Grand Rapids is close to Belknap Park and offers plenty of options for lunch or an early meal.

Arriving around noon or early afternoon gives you time to eat, walk around downtown, and make your way to the festival without rushing.

Breakaway has official after-parties scheduled around the festival weekend, including Friday and Saturday events at The Intersection.

Friday’s official after-party features TWINSICK with MZ NORTH and RIINK and begins at 10:00 p.m. The event is 18+.
